Abstract

This study investigates the intricate and multifaceted relationship between energy security and economic security from an interdisciplinary standpoint. It posits that energy policies must be reformed to align with sustainable development objectives. Moving beyond the conventional supply-centric view of energy security, a holistic framework is employed that encompasses access, affordability, environmental sustainability, and technological innovation. The analysis highlights significant challenges, including vulnerabilities in infrastructure, rising global demand, reliance on fossil fuels, and the intricacies of the energy transition. Concurrently, the paper explores transformative prospects such as advancements in renewable technologies, the creation of green jobs, enhanced international collaboration, and improved energy access for marginalized communities. Strategic policy recommendations are presented to support the transition toward low-carbon energy systems while preserving economic competitiveness and resilience.
